Cytracom ControlOne: Quick Start: Connect your Site to the Internet

Procedure

After setting up your Site, you must connect it to your ISP (or multiple ISPs), through your primary bridge's WAN ports.

Important- before you begin this procedure

If you are using a static IP address provided by your ISP, perform the procedure in Cytracom ControlOne: Configuring a WAN with a static IP address before continuing. If you do not follow the procedure outlined in that article, you will be unable to complete your ControlOne Bridge deployment once onsite. 

1. In the Network Map, click the Site object. It's configuration settings will open in the right-hand side of the window. Click the Primary tab at the top of those configuration settings.

2. Port 1 is a designated WAN port. Click Port 1 to highlight it, then scroll down to IP Settings.

3. Select Static, then fill out the following fields in this section:

  • IP address: Enter the static IP address provided by your ISP.
  • Subnet mask: Enter the the subnet mask provided by your ISP in slash notation. The Subnet Mask field will not accept dotted decimal notation. 
  • Gateway IP address: Enter the gateway for this subnet.

Once connected, the status indicator light on Port 1 will turn green.
