Procedure

Set up your new site

Navigate to the ControlOne Portal

1. In a web browser, navigate to the Cytracom Partner Portal and log in. 

2. Click the Manage Customers icon on the left-hand side of the screen.

3. Find your customer in the list, then click the ControlOne icon to enter the Portal.

Create the configuration

Set up the gateway

1. In the ControlOne Portal, click Network Map in the left hand navigation menu.

2. Click the Create a Gateway button in the middle of the screen.

3. Name your gateway then use the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of your screen to select the appropriate gateway point of presence (POP) for your geographic region. When finished, click the Create button.

Set up the site zone

1. In the ControlOne Portal's Network Map view, click the Add New button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select Zone from the drop-down menu.

2. select Site Zone, then click the Next button.

3. Name your zone, then use the Gateway drop-down menu to assign the zone to the gateway you created earlier. When finished, click the Create button.

Set up the site

1. In the ControlOne Portal's Network Map view, click the Add New button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select Site from the drop-down menu.

2. The New Site dialog box will appear. Name your site, then use the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of your screen to select the appropriate gateway for your geographic region.

3.. Use the drop-down menus to select your primary bridge, and assign a warm spare, if applicable. When finished, click the Create button.

Link it all together

1. In the Network Map, hover the cursor over the site. Click the blue circle to connect the site to the zone. The connection will display in the Network Map as a line between the zone and the site. 

2. If there is not already a connection shown between the zone and the gateway, hover your cursor over the gateway, then click the blue circle when it appears and select your zone.

Set up the ControlOne Bridge unit

Now that your site configuration is complete, you can set up the physical bridge unit.

1. Unplug your ISP modem's power cable. Warning: This will disrupt your network connectivity. 

2. Connect an ethernet cable from the ISP modem to WAN port 1 on the ControlOne Bridge. see the cable marked 2 in the diagram above.

3. Plug in the power cables for both your ISP modem and the ControlOne Bridge.

4. Power up the ISP modem, then power up the ControlOne Bridge. 

5. Connect an Ethernet cable from the client device to LAN Port 6 of the ControlOne Bridge. See the cable marked 5 in the diagram above.

When your bridge connects to the ControlOne platform, a green indicator will appear on your site configuration. 

6. Once your bridge connects, click the Site box to open up additional options.

7. Click the Primary tab, then click the Optimize button to optimize your site (this can take up to 15 minutes). Once complete, LAN port 6 should now pass traffic through your cloud edge, completing the setup.
