Title
This article describes how to configure Secure DNS settings in Chromium-based browsers so DNS can properly route through ControlOne.
Environment
- Cytracom ControlOne
Description
Sometimes, the Secure DNS settings in Chromium based browsers (such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge) will cause problems with internal routing through static DNS records. If this happens, you will need to disable these settings to route your DNS through ControlOne.
Procedure:
Google Chrome
1. Open the Menu in the top right corner and choose Settings.
2. Select Privacy and Security in the left menu, then click Security.
3. Scroll to the Advanced section and uncheck Use Secure DNS.
Mozilla Firefox
1. Open the Menu in the top right corner and choose Settings.
2. Scroll all the way down to Network Settings and choose Settings.
3. Untick Enable DNS over HTTPS.
Microsoft Edge
1. Type edge://settings/privacy in the address bar and scroll to the Security area.
2. Disable the Use secure DNS to specify how to lookup the network address for websites option.
