Add users to the CSV file

When you open the CSV file, you will see a spreadsheet page containing a header row and a sample entry which displays applicable cell entries in their proper formats.

The header row contains the following data fields that Control One can use to add data about each user:

If you omit a required field, the import for that user will fail.
  • email (required): The user's email address.
  • first_name: The user's first name.
  • last_name: The user's last name.
  • phone number: Due to an issue with Multifactor Authentication (MFA) setup, Cytracom recommends leaving this field blank, then editing the user's phone number in the ControlOne Portal once added.
  • agent_access: Permission for the user to access the ControlOne Agent. (enter allowed or denied).
  • admin_portal (required): Permissions for the ControlOne Portal. Enter one of the following permission levels: modify, view, or none. By default, you should use the None permission unless the user needs access to the Admin Portal.
  • reporting: Permissions for ControlOne's Reporting page. Enter one of the following permission levels: modify, view, or none. By default, you should use the none permission unless the user needs access to the Admin Portal.
  • manage_users: Permissions for ControlOne's Manage Users page.  Enter one of the following permission levels: modify, view, or none. By default, you should use the none permission unless the user needs access to the Admin Portal.
  • zone: Enter the name of the zone in which the user will operate (this is case-sensitive and must match the name of the Zone exactly, or the user import will fail). Use this permission if a user needs agent access only.

To add users to the CSV file, delete the sample user information and enter the user's information in the first row. Use subsequent rows to add additional users. When finished, save the file with a  .csv extension.

Upload the CSV file

1. Return to the Import Users dialog box in the ControlOne Portal. If you would like your users to receive an invite email, check the Send invite emails box. When finished, click Upload
