Choosing the right connection type
- EHS (Wireless via DECT base): Best for desk users who want wireless range and stable desk phone call control. Requires a compatible EHS adapter.
- Bluetooth (Wireless): Best for hybrid users and multi-device use. Range is typically shorter than DECT/EHS setups.
- RJ9 (Wired): Best for simple, cost-effective wired headset setups. Requires the correct RJ9 cord/cable for proper operation.
- USB (Wired): Best for supported USB headset models. Feature support may vary by firmware version and headset manufacturer.

- Supported on GXP2140 / 2160 / 2170 firmware 1.0.11.35 or higher.
- Volume adjustment may not fully sync between headset and phone display.
- If “Always Ring Speaker” is set to “Yes both,” ringtone may only play through the headset.
