Topic
This article discusses how to use the ControlOne Android Mobile App.
Environment
- Cytracom ControlOne
Description
ControlOne for Android provides all of the enterprise grade security delivered by the ControlOne platform on your Android device without any additional configuration on the endpoint device.
Requirements
- You must have an active ControlOne Agent license.
- Your device must be running Android 10 or newer.
Special considerations
- Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) login via Web-Login SSO is supported.
- Multi Factor Authentication via SMS or Authenticator App TOTP is supported.
Note: While ControlOne does not perform mobile device management (MDM), you can control mobile device compliance requirements with a Device Posture Policy for Android.
Note: Google Chromebooks are not supported at this time.
Connecting with the Mobile App
1. Download the ControlOne Mobile App from the Google Play Store.
2. Log in using your ControlOne credentials and multi-factor authentication. If you don’t know your ControlOne credentials, contact your IT provider.
Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) users will be taken to the Entra ID sign-in page to authenticate.
3. To continue, the App must install a VPN profile with the OS to provide secure connectivity for internet traffic through ControlOne. Tap Continue, then inside the pop-up prompt tap Allow and follow authentication prompts to install the profile and complete App setup.

Removing the VPN profile from the 'Settings' App will interrupt connectivity with ControlOne. The Agent App will prompt to re-install the profile if one is not present.
The App will automatically connect to your ControlOne network when the profile is installed. The main screen will also display the current connection status and secure gateway IP.
