Changing the incoming caller ID to display an entered text before the inbound caller ID number allows the person answering the call to differentiate the line called and answer appropriately. 

Note: This option is available under Ring Groups as well.
  • Log in to the portal at
  • Click PBX
  • Click Phone Numbers
  • Select the number to update
  • Scroll down to Caller ID Mode


  • Select Text + Original to populate the box to the right, labeled Caller ID TextScreen_Shot_2018-08-28_at_7.17.38_AM.png
  • Any information entered in the box will be displayed before the incoming caller ID information.
  • Click Submit.
