Cytracom UCaaS: Working with phonebooks

This article discusses the phonebook feature in Cytracom UCaaS.

Environment

Description

Cytracom UCaaS D2 devices have a phonebook feature which lets you store contacts. You can export the phonebook, or import additional phonebooks. 

Adding a contact

Access the phone's admin screen

1. On the device, use the up arrow to cycle through the menu and select IPv4 address. Note the IP address. 

2. Type the phone's IP address into the search window of your web browser and press Enter

3. Log in with the username and password.

Add the contact

1. In the left-hand Navigation menu, click Application, then select Contacts from the expanded options.

2. Click Add Contact, then enter the contact's information. When finished, click Save.

You should receive a confirmation, and the new contact should appear on your phone's Contacts screen. 

Saving a phonebook 

1. Click the Phonebook tab and select Phonebook Management from the expanded options. 

2. Click Download XML Phonebook. You will see the option to save an XML file. By default this file will save to your computer's Downloads folder. 

Importing a phonebook

1. Click the Phonebook tab and select Phonebook Management from the expanded options. 

2. Click Upload XML Phonebook, then click Browse and navigate to the location where the phonebook is saved. 

3. Click the Upload button. You will receive a confirmation.

4. Click Save and Apply to finalize the changes. 

5. Press the Phonebook button on the device and verify that you can see the new contacts.  Some phones may require a reboot to accept and finalize the changes.
