Environment

  • Cytracom UCaaS

Description

Grandstream phones not purchased through Cytracom must be provisioned to Cytracom's system before use.

Procedure

Configure the phone

Before you start, make sure the phone's MAC address is in the system. See Devices if it needs to be added.

1. Log into the local IP address of the phone using a web browser on the same network as the phone. The default login name and password are both admin.

2. Click Maintenance, then Upgrade & Provisioning.

Set Upgrade Via to HTTP.

4. Make sure the Config Server Path is set to tftp.cytracom.net.

5. Make sure the Firmware Server Path is set to fw.cytracom.com.

6. Click Save and Apply at the bottom of the page.

7. Click Reboot in the top right corner of the screen, then Confirm to reboot the phone.

The phone will reboot twice to apply the configuration file from the system then it will boot to the main screen with the username in the top left. If the background for the username is green, the phone is ready to go. If it is red, that means the phone got the configuration file but is unable to register.

8. Open the extension to provision the phone as in Cytracom's portal, and then click SIP Config under Routing & Configuration.

Configure the user account

Before you start, take note of the SIP username and password, or just keep that tab open to copy and paste.

1. Log into the phone's local IP address of the phone using a web browser on the same network as the phone. The default login name and password are both admin.

2. Click Accounts. This will take you to General Settings under Account 1.

3. Enter the Account Name, generally the name of the person who will use the phone.

4. The SIP Server should be register.cytracom.net.

5. Enter the SIP User ID from the extension page. This should also be entered as the Authenticate ID.

6. Enter the SIP password for the extension.

7. Copy the user's name from the Account Name field into the Name field as well.

8. Voice Mail UserID will be *(ext). For example, if the extension is 101, just enter *101.

9. Click Save & Apply

10. Navigate to AccountsAccount 1Network settings and select Keep-Alive from the NAT Traversal drop-down menu

11. Click Save & Apply

This will register the phone, and generally does not require a reboot.
