Note: Autotask API users for Cytracom Desktop and PSA MUST be separate users due to Integration Vendor type.
Creating a Security Level for Cytracom via Datto Autotask
- Log into Datto Autotask
- Select Admin section in the main menu ☰
- Select the Company Settings & Users Tab
- Expand Resources/Users (HR) submenu
- Select Security Levels Option under the Security Section
- Right Click API User and select "Copy Security Level"
- Note: API User (system) or API User (system) Can't Read Costs can be selected for the Security Level.
- Rename to "Cytracom API User"
- Leave Permissions as-is and select Save & Close
Creating an API User for Cytracom via Datto Autotask
- Select Admin section in the main menu ☰
- Select the Features and Settings Tab
- Expand Resources/Users (HR) submenu
- Select Resources/Users under the Resources/Users Section
- Under the + New drop down menu select New API User
- General
- First Name: <as desired>
- Last Name: <as desired>
- Email Address: <as desired>
- Active: ☑
- Locked: ☐
- Security Level: Cytracom API User
- Date Format: <as desired>
- Time Format: <as desired>
- Number Format: <as desired>

- Username (Key): [Generate or specify as desired]
- Password (Secret): [Generate or specify as desired]
- API Tracking Identifier
- Select Integration Vendor
- Select Cytracom - Desktop from the drop-down menu if this API User will be used within Cytracom Desktop, otherwise, Cytracom - PSA Connector
- Select Integration Vendor
- Line of Business

Logging into the PSA connector via the Company Profile option in the Partner Portal
- Select Company Profile Icon on the left menu
- Select PSA connector from the submenu
- Select ConnectWise Manage from the drop down

Integrator Login:
- This will be the username generated or specified for the API User

Password:
- This will be the password generated or specified for the API User
- Select Connect, and if all the items above were set up properly the PSA should now be connected!
